👋 hiiiii I met a bunch of new art lovers last weekend, so here’s a little “About Me”… 1. I’m Jill, a painter who lives and works in NE Minneapolis. My studio is in q.armabuilding. 2. I paint primarily with acrylic gouache and ink on paper. I use a nib dip pen for the ink (you can see me using one at the start of this video). 3. I used to do a lot my digital painting and sort of hybrid digital+traditional work. I’m comfortable with PS and Procreate and used to be a graphic designer summitbeer, which was an amazing, supportive job. Lately I rarely make digital work unless it’s for a client (of which I don’t have many 🙃). 4. I teach workshops from my studio and sometimes online! I really like teaching. I’ll be adding new ones this fall. My newsletter is the best way to hear about them first, before they fill up. 5. I sell original paintings but I’m absolutely happy to sell prints of my stuff as well, because I want art to be accessible. I know even prints are pretty expensive. ...
