Senior Daniel Carr organized and ran a free basketball clinic for K-6th grade students in conjunction with the Rock Island Parks & Rec department this past Saturday. This project is part of a post-graduate scholarship program awarded to students like Daniel who excel in academics and athletics, while still making the time to serve our communities as well. We are so proud of Daniel for being such a fine example of the #AugieEgo (team first) and for dedicating a portion of his weekend to serving the next generation of hoopers! And a HUGE thank you to his teammates that exemplified the #VikingRule (no excuses, getting it done) by stepping up to help coach, ensuring that the event went smoothly and each kid got a meaningful experience.
