Kings of the Jungle. For the first time in their MLS history, the Lions get to raise a trophy. It’s been a long wait, but it only makes the US Open Cup title that much sweeter. For 75 minutes, it looked like the Sacramento Republic could pull off a miracle upset, but the Uruguayan Facundo Torres came to the rescue. A well-placed finish and a coolly taken penalty in a span of five minutes. At the death, he dished an assist to Benji Michel to send Sacramento to sleep. Exploria Stadium roared once the final whistle blew, and Orlando basked in the glory. While all the eyes are on the champions, it’s impossible not to commend Sacramento’s run in this tournament. Knocked out a couple of MLS heavy-hitters and nearly stole the championship last night. Still, the cup stays in Orlando. The Lions are finally on top. 📸: @morgantenczaphoto #usopencup #facundotorres #orlandocitysc #orlandosoccer #flsoccer #floridasoccer #orlandosports #mlssoccer #uslchampionship #ussoccer #soccertrophy #c...
