Tropical #cyclone Gezani made landfall on 11 February in eastern #Madagascar, causing dozens of casualties and destroying buildings and infrastructure in a country which is still reeling from the impact of Tropical Cyclone Fytia at the end of January. WMO's regional specialized centre Meteo-France La Réunion is forecasting that Gezani will track towards Mozambique in the coming days, bringing high winds and seas and heavy rain.
