In 1899, 22 women gathered for tea with a bold idea: to establish a facility dedicated solely to caring for children with chronic illness and physical disability. Today, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is Canada’s largest pediatric rehabilitation hospital and an academic health science centre recognized nationally and internationally for excellence in care, teaching and research. That original vision lives on through more than 800 women in science and healthcare who continue to shape Holland Bloorview and drive our mission forward.
