TRANSIT ALERT: Service on the LIRR Ronkonkoma branch was partially suspended early Tuesday after a car fire on the tracks near Farmingdale station. Firefighters put out the blaze just before 3 a.m. Several trains were held while crews removed the vehicle and began track repairs.
