MURDER-SUICIDE: A welfare check led Suffolk County police to a murder-suicide inside a Port Jefferson home. Officers went to 135 Oakwood Road around 11 a.m. Monday after 63-year-old Valerie Kopetic failed to show up for work and found her and her partner, 68-year-old Paul Trefimovich, dead from gunshot wounds.
