I’m not perfect. I know some of my videos are staged. I know we’re incredibly blessed to work with brands and make more money than we ever imagined possible and I’m definitely guilty for wanting to do more. But I also think it’s important to acknowledge how greedy this industry can make people…and how out of touch it can make some influencers. Some people start acting like they’re better than everyone else. Like they’re above “normal” life. Like being a puppet for likes, clicks, and followers is the goal. And I don’t want that. I don’t always want to say the “right” thing. I don’t always want to act a certain way just to be more brand friendly or more likable. At the end of the day, my goal is simple: be myself and build a life my kids can be proud of. We’re just normal Midwest people sharing our life online, and I never want to lose that.
