SGA Spotlight: Omar Ratrut ’26 Meet Omar, a political science major with minors in philosophy and sociology from San Antonio, and this year’s Student Government Association president. When Omar first toured Trinity, he was impressed by all the University had to offer, yet was unsure whether it was the right fit. But that all changed on move-in weekend. “I finally began to envision a future for myself on campus, and all the anxieties eased,” he shared. Since then, Trinity has become more than just an academic institution; it’s a place that feels like home. What Omar loves most about Trinity is the sense of possibility that comes from its tight-knit community. From studying abroad to collaborating across disciplines, he’s found that Trinity’s environment encourages curiosity, connection, and growth.
