Gov. Mikie Sherrill recently signed an executive order blocking ICE's access to state-owned property, and opened a new portal for residents to upload videos of ICE encounters. Now, ICE officials are criticizing Sherrill and other N.J. leaders: “Our brave law enforcement will continue to risk their lives to arrest these heinous criminals and make New Jersey safe again,” the ICE statement said. “The biggest losers are the people these politicians were elected to serve.” Sherrill's administration didn't respond to these comments, instead pointing towards comments she made earlier in the week: "We have seen dozens, even hundreds of videos of Donald Trump’s ICE agents abusing their power, smashing cars, tear gassing families, gunning down American citizens and violating our most basic rights." 🔗 Click the link in bio to read more 🖊️ Reporting by Jelani Gibson / NJ.com #nj #newjersey #ice #immigration
