Tackling our biggest project yet: the staircase at Stone Mountain State Park. The N.C. Parks and Recreation Trust Fund has awarded 1.1$ million to replace this 647‑linear‑foot staircase that climbs beside Stone Mountain Falls. Originally built in May 1990, it’s now being rebuilt with galvanized steel to boost longevity, improve accessibility, ease the climb, and create additional viewing areas for hikers.
