Soar long, Crew-12 🚀 A new crew is on their way to the International Space Station! NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, europeanspaceagency astronaut Sophie Adenot, and cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev lifted off from the Space Coast of Florida at 5:15 a.m. EST (1015 UTC) on Friday, Feb. 13. They're currently soaring through space in their SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, named Freedom. Crew-12 is scheduled to dock with the station on Saturday, Feb. 14. Once they arrive, they'll join the station's three current crew members (including NASA's Chris Williams) on a mission of scientific discovery. They'll study how the human body is changed by living in space, help develop new materials and medical treatments, and share their stories of life in low Earth orbit with the world.
