Ever went on an Artist date? You must! This one was much needed for me. After working on our bathroom tirelessly for a whole year, it’s just about done. The bathroom is gorgeous but as we are finishing up the last 10% of the project, I found myself getting more and more nit picky about the details. So much so that I ended up convincing myself that I hated everything! I noticed every uneven corner, every skewed tile and uneven grout line. It was driving me crazy and was incredibly stressful. For an artist this can make it extremely difficult to carry on. It’s debilitating. My remedy to get out of this funk is to go on artist dates to get inspired again. To “flirt” face to face with the very architecture and designs that inspired my house renovation in the first place. To immerse my mind directly into the time period I am trying to conjure.
