SEA HAWKS SLIP BY LIONS IN PLAYOFF OPENER: A close battle to kickoff the CIF-SS Open Division playoffs saw the visiting Redondo Union Sea Hawks earn a 2-1 victory over the jserra.girlssoccer team on Thursday at JSerra Catholic High School. Redondo Union scored the first goal of the match in the first half, taking a 1-0 lead into the intermission. Sophomore Kaylee Hanna tied the contest early in the second half with her 11th goal of the season. But the Sea Hawks produced the match-winner later in the half to emerge with first round triumph.
