For Black History Month, we’re taking a moment to honor Paradise Valley, a neighborhood that represents the heart of Detroit’s Black history.  In the early 20th century, Paradise Valley was a thriving center of Black-owned businesses, music, culture, and entrepreneurship. Its legacy is one of resilience, creativity, and economic empowerment. Today, that spirit lives on as Black ownership and investment continue shaping its revival. Celebrating this history isn’t just about looking back, it’s about recognizing the foundation that continues to strengthen our neighborhoods and our city. Let’s continue to #Risehigher
