Among his most notable works was his ‘Black is Beautiful’ series. It consisted of studio portraiture and fashion photography that celebrated the natural beauty of black women in defiance of Eurocentric beauty standards. Swipe to read about this movement and why it still remains alive to this day. Make sure to follow kwamebphoto for more. His son oversees his father’s collection of inspiring photos as the director of the Kwame Braithwaite Archive. #NakedBeautyGlobal #BlackIsBeautiful #BHM
