On the latest Road Trip After Hours podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long provided a candid assessment of WWE’s current strategy for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
Addressing reports of slow ticket sales and a 50-mile "blackout" on local watch parties, Long contrasted the current leadership with former Chairman Vince McMahon. “Vince McMahon would have never done anything like this,” Long stated. “Vince would have figured a way out that it would have came out, and everybody would have made money, everybody would have been happy, including all the fans too.”
Long emphasized that the current economic climate makes the high ticket prices—starting at $270 for nosebleed seats—unrealistic for many. “How can you feed your family and then try to entertain them and go to this big event? You can’t do that. Your family’s gonna come first,” he remarked.
