Twelve years ago, Night to Shine was just a hopeful idea—a unique way to celebrate TTF’s fifth anniversary and do something to honor individuals with special needs. We didn’t know if any churches would sign up or if the idea would totally flop. There were a lot of questions…even doubts. It felt big. It felt heavy. We didn’t have a fully baked plan. It was a risk. We wrestled. We prayed. We asked God for guidance. Ultimately, we decided to trust what He was stirring in our hearts, and took steps forward in faith. We prayed 25 churches would say yes. 44 did. Now… 12 years later, more than 120,000 Kings and Queens across 76 countries were crowned this year alone. I’m humbled…Only God. What moves me most isn’t the growth. It’s the love. Churches doing all they can to open their doors to families with disabilities. Volunteers showing up with relentless joy for people they’ve never met. Parents...
