nicolebenefield_portfolio knows a good uniform. The Brooklyn-born designer’s ethos is all about reinventing daily essentials with utilitarian themes and monochromatic hues. “My design aesthetic is honestly who I am: confident, clean, and a little bit tomboy,” Nicole says. By age 6, she was already designing minimalist hoodies for her toys. “I would sit and play Barbie for days and just sew and upcycle my mom's old clothes.” For this collection, working with denim was a return to form, “I started out as a denim designer. Working on this collaboration, it felt like going home.” Explore Gap × Harlem’s Fashion Row at link in bio. #gapxhfr
