latouche calls himself the traveling tailor. Whether he’s jetting off to design suits for NBA players or The Roots, Jimmy LaTouche is constantly on the move for his craft. But everything always goes back to his roots, his home. “My inspiration, a lot of it comes from the Caribbean and Haiti,” Jimmy says. The result is an aesthetic that’s uniquely his own: classic tailoring mixed with bold color and innovative textures. Growing up, Jimmy remembers denim playing a huge role in how he got dressed. He says, “I didn’t know anybody who didn’t have a pair of jeans. They’re how you would start an outfit.” For this collection, he’s doing denim his way: experimenting with pleating, structure, and ballooning.
