Returning to the homeland of my Filipino side of the family and attending a #StarWars charity event (so much love from Filipino fans ❤️ for a Nightsister) , I felt my roots awaken in ways I didn’t expect. 🇵🇭 I came to shadow a director (Keoni Waxman) working with Filipino superstar Alden Richards ( aldenrichards02 ) on his first international film, Big Tiger. Meeting Alden and sharing this moment felt less like a first meeting and more like family recognizing family. This photo captured that feeling perfectly. Alden is stepping into a villain role for the first time, and my husband, Ron Balicki therealronbalicki , had the honor of helping train him for it.
