With a heavy heart, I express before you today, the passing of our dear family friend, Richard Norton. He was not just a Hollywood martial artist, an accomplished Australian actor, but truly a beautiful human being who touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. Richard’s friendship meant the world to our Inosanto/Balicki family, and we will forever be grateful for the profound impact he made not only in the world of martial arts but in our lives. One of my fondest memories of Richard is when he and his lovely wife, Judy, came to visit our home during a challenging time. My husband, Ron Balicki, was mentally preparing for surgery just days away. Richard, along with my father, Dan Inosanto, was there at a private gathering I hosted, meant to lift Ron’s spirits. It was a truly special moment, a perfect reflection of Ohana — a gathering of love, support, and friendship. That day, surrounded by friends who became family, we witnessed the beauty of life in its purest form....
