Today we mourn the loss of Rev. Jesse Jackson, a towering figure in the struggle for civil rights, justice and equality. A protégé of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rev. Jackson dedicated his life to uplifting the oppressed, advocating for voting rights, economic justice and opportunity for all. He marched alongside legends, built powerful movements like Operation PUSH and the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, and inspired generations with his message to “Keep hope alive.” He passed away at age 84, surrounded by family.
