White House Border Czar Tom Homan announced this weekend that a small security force will remain in Minnesota even as most ICE and Border Patrol agents begin to leave.
"They'll remain for a short period of time just to make sure the coordination, the agreements we have with local and state law enforcement stay in place and they respond to a public safety threat," Homan told Face the Nation.
Homan said over 1,000 agents have already left, with hundreds more scheduled to leave early this week. But those investigating the state's widespread fraud will be staying.
