CROSSBOW ATTACK: Nassau County police say 21-year-old Samy Sedhom, of Lawrence, is charged with attempted murder after allegedly firing a crossbow at his 28-year-old sister at a West Avenue home, grazing her face and splitting her ear. District Attorney Anne Donnelly says a slightly different angle could have made the case a homicide, and court documents allege Sedhom had been planning to kill her since around Christmas 2025 over a “brother-sister rivalry,” including disputes about the house temperature.
