National parks are not a personal branding opportunity, but President Trump thinks they are. By law the 2026 version of the America the Beautiful Annual Pass was supposed to feature a contest-winning photograph of Glacier National Park. But on U.S. residents' passes, last November the Trump administration abruptly inserted the president's face instead. Adding a sticker or decal to cover Trump's image may void the pass. Partisan politics shouldn’t impact people’s ability to visit public lands. By putting Trump's face on the annual pass for 2026, the Trump administration sullied our ability to find spaces where Americans of all political leanings can gather and find common ground.
