As part of Embry-Riddle’s Centennial celebration, we’re spotlighting the iconic Weaver Aircraft Company (WACO) Model 10 biplane and the role it played in the early days of the university.
On Sept. 28, 1928, founding partner T. Higbee Embry sold the aircraft to the Embry-Riddle Company. Nearly a century later, the story still feels close to campus. Embry-Riddle faculty have flown the WACO and shared what it is like to fly this aircraft firsthand.
