When Cody was a kid, around 7 or so, he went on a cross-country road trip with his parents, brother, grandma, cousins, aunt and uncle, that he always tells me about. There’s so many different stories from this trip he tells me. But last week he told me one that he hadn’t told me before. About how while they were going through one of the Dakota states, grandma picked up a free kitten from one of the campgrounds, named him Dakota, and brought him home with them. He said that the cat never stopped meowing from the moment they picked him up. We are headed out for a 3 week road trip soon, and I jokingly said we will have to find our Dakota on this road trip of ours.
