#MountiePride to these Mountie nurses, current and former, who have received recognition for their skills and patient care. 1. Ben Grow, who won first place at the EMS State Conference at Seven Springs Resort. Ben put his skills up against nine other teams of pre-hospital care professionals, and was able to diagnose and treat his patient the fastest using his EMS and nursing skills. 2. Zach Grove received a DAISY Award during his final clinical semester for care provided to his patient. The patient praised him for his "helpfulness, patience, kindness, and wealth of information." 3. Amy Koren '20,'21 received a DAISY Award and Nurse of the Year from the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center. Amy's willingness to go above and beyond for her veteran patients and is a leader in patient care at the VAMC Urgent Care Center. 4.
