To pack years of experience into a single ski season, Olympian Mikaela Shiffrin purposely skipped races when she was younger. Her strategy: racing meant two runs in a day, but practice could mean up to 15. "If I was racing against girls five years older than I was then I needed to get…needed to get five years of experience in one winter of training,” Shiffrin told 60 Minutes in 2014. At the time, she trained every day for up to five hours, including the expected, like weightlifting, and the unexpected, like using a broomstick to practice clearing gates. #MikaelaShiffrin #winterolympics #ski #trainning #skiier
