Before there was a "Once upon a time," there was the Word. We often think of hope as a feeling we have to manufacture when things go wrong. But John 1 tells us something different: Light isn’t a reaction to the darkness. Light was here first. THE FRESH LENS: Jesus isn't a "Plan B" God who showed up because the world got messy. He is the Author who designed the light to be unquenchable. No matter how dark the room gets, the darkness doesn't "understand" (or overcome) the light. It’s simply outmatched. MICRO-PRACTICE: Today, when you walk into a dark room and flip a switch, say: "You were here first." THE ASK: What is one area of your life that feels a little too "dark" right now?
