Another successful vet visit at modernvet This time, I asked them to allow me to help weigh Tux since we’ve had some challenges with that in the past, and it made such a difference. I also asked to be present for his vaccinations, and being able to stay in the room with him helped him relax more than usual. I also brought high-value treats and used the visit as a training opportunity by practicing skills he already knows to help get him into a better mindset and build positive associations with the experience. Tux gets very anxious when he’s separated from me (especially when he knows I’m still in the building), so having that extra support made the whole experience calmer and more positive for both of us.
