Christy Carlson Romano is opening up about a scary health update. ❤️‍🩹 In a tearful Instagram video posted Feb. 17, the ‘Even Stevens’ alum revealed that she recently underwent a cancer screening partially due to her family’s history with the disease, and her results came back positive. “Mine did not come back negative,” she said, explaining that both of her parents had cancer and her maternal grandmother died of lung cancer. Romano shared that she will now undergo a PET scan as doctors work to determine what’s going on, adding that she’s currently “fighting with companies” to get the scan covered. “I’m nervous and a bit scared (heck who wouldn’t be!),” she wrote in her caption, while stressing that she’s trying to stay strong for her two daughters.
