An 18-year-old man was apprehended after running toward the U.S. Capitol with a loaded shotgun, according to Capitol police. As he approached the building, officers with the Capitol police saw him and ordered him to drop the weapon, according to Capitol Police Chief Michael Sullivan. The man put the gun down and was taken into custody. The man had additional rounds with him, as well as a tactical vest and tactical gloves, Sullivan said.
