Let’s Make Homemade wontons for Chinese New Year 🥟✨
This is one of our most treasured traditions — a recipe passed down from my grandmother, to my mom, to me… and now to my kids. I always want my kids to remember their Chinese heritage and one of the best ways to do that is through food and things that have been passed down by learning from one generation to the next. There’s something so special about standing around the table together around Chinese New Year, folding each one by hand and carrying on the flavors (and memories) of the generations before us ❤️
And truly — they’re SO much easier than you think. And when you make them homemade? Next level delicious.
Here’s all you need:
• 1 lb ground chicken
• 1 bunch green onions
• Chinese five spice (to taste)
• 1½ tbsp soy sauce
• 1 egg
• 1 large package wonton skins
