The new Audi RS 5 is here, and it looks devastatingly good. There’s an Avant version already, too, but that body style is still TBD for the U.S. market.   The big news hiding under the pretty sheetmetal is the switch to a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Audi kept the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 from the outgoing car, improved it, and added an electric motor and large battery pack for all-electric driving. The electric motor is integrated into the 8-speed automatic transmission and supplies an additional 174 horsepower.
