After improving Central Michigan women’s basketball to its best record since the 2020-21 season, Zyzelewski Family Vice President/Director of Athletics Amy Folan announced in a press release Tuesday that head coach Kristin Haynie has agreed to a two-year contract extension.
The extension will run through the 2028-29 season.
The extension comes as the program has seen steady growth throughout Haynie’s two-plus seasons in charge. The Chippewas currently sit with a 16-8 overall record and a 10-3 conference record, enough for fourth place in the MAC. With five games remaining in the regular season, Central Michigan already has the best record it has seen since the 2020-21 season, when the team won 18 games and the MAC Tournament.
