He probably thought he got away with it. 🚨 On August 28, 2025, deputies responded to the 27900 block of Kelly Johnson Parkway following a report of a grand theft in a Walmart parking lot. Two individuals traveling through the area on a camping trip briefly went inside the store. When they returned, they discovered their luggage and clothing had been stolen from the bed of their truck. Deputies obtained a description of the suspect’s vehicle, and detectives got to work. Their investigation led to the identification of a 34-year-old male suspect, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Fast forward to today...If the suspect thought time and distance meant he got away with it, he was mistaken. Our Crime Impact Team (CIT) deputies traveled to East Los Angeles and paid him a visit. He was taken into custody without incident on felony grand theft charges and transported back to the SCV Sheriff’s Station Jail.
