COURT UPDATE: A 21-year-old Lawrence man accused of shooting a crossbow at his sister made a brief procedural appearance in a Mineola courtroom Wednesday. His attorney, Stephen Mullkoff, says the incident was a prank that “went horribly wrong” and that the sister does not believe he meant to hurt her.
