@Lykke Li has returned. Her new song “Lucky Again” is out now, and her album ‘The Afterparty’ is set to be released on May 8.⁠ ⁠ The 9-song project was written in Los Angeles and recorded in Stockholm with a 17-piece string orchestra, an experience she calls one of the top two of her life. ⁠ ⁠ But this doesn’t sound like a happy-go-lucky album, despite the first single’s title. We haven’t heard it in full yet, but based on everything Lykke Li has shared so far, it’s loaded with heavy undercurrents, dramatic juxtaposition, and towering ambition.⁠ ⁠ During a private early listening party, Lykke Li told a small audience that it may be her final album.
