Mayor Cherelle Parker thanked Park Service workers for restoring the slavery exhibit at the President’s House on Independence Mall Thursday. U.S. District Judge Cynthia Rufe ordered the display restored Monday as a government appeal is pending. The panels were removed in January by the National Park Service depicting the lives of nine people enslaved by George Washington while he lived in Philadelphia as president. #whyynews
