An injured bald eagle is recovering after it was pulled from floating ice on the Hudson River Tuesday morning. The NYPD posted body camera footage of harbor officers rescuing the eagle who was initially spotted crying out in distress. Responding officers eventually used a catchpole and a tarp to secure the bird and bring it to safety. Although it is currently unclear how it was injured, members of the Harbor Unit transported the eagle to a New Jersey animal sanctuary, officials said. #nypd #animals #hudsonriver #nyc #rescue
