🙌 Huge win for Indigenous-led conservation in Bolivia! 🌿 Over 209,000 acres (84,716 ha) of the Chaño-Tucuman forest and Bolivian Tucumán Forest are now officially protected as an Indigenous-managed reserve. 🇧🇴✨ This area is a vital biological corridor in the south of the country and a key space to mitigate climate change, promote sustainable livelihoods, and keep Guaraní culture alive. This newly formed reserve is part of the ancestral territory of the Guaraní Indigenous People, and is a historic step for their continued defense of this territory and commitment to future generations.
