For the past few weeks, I've been consuming the news in small, compulsive doses-scrolling between headlines about the Epstein file release, Hollywood silence, elite complicity, and algorithm-fed distractions that feel designed to keep us numb. At some point, the question stopped being "What happened?" and became "What does it do to us to witness this over and over again?" This essay, Human Zoochosis after the Epstein File Release, came out of that feeling. To clarify: It's not a breakdown of the files. It's more about what it does to your psyche to witness power protect itself in real time. What it feels like to grow up around Hollywood and understand, slowly, how young girls are watched, evaluated, packaged. How harm can be ordinary. How the algorithm never flinches. - #SubstackWriter #EssayCommunity #MediaCritique #HollywoodCulture #WritersOflnstagram
