Raise your hand if you were a mommy’s girl!🙋🏻♀️my mom came to this country and gave me everything she could. But mostly, the “delulu-ness” I am very proud to have today! She had no money, no English, no man! And we lived with my aunt and her 4 kids for about four years before we were able to get our own place. She worked multiple jobs daily… We relied on welfare, food stamps, layaways, food banks and any government help there was. And I’ll never get tired of screaming from the top of my lungs how much of a badass my mom is. She’s the literal reason I am who I am. And I have zero shame of sharing my story. I just hope it inspires at least one single mom to believe in yourself. Because my mom genuinely made me believe I could have and do whatever I wanted. She encouraged me to get my education, study, always help others as they helped us and to make sure I always stay kind and humble.
Even though my kids will never have the struggles we faced - I still raise my kids in the same way....
