A baby Japanese macaque found abandoned at Ichikawa City Zoo last July has won hearts after bonding with a stuffed orangutan for comfort. Named Punch, the infant was discovered by a visitor and taken into care by zoo staff, who believe his young mother may have abandoned him during a heatwave. Keepers gave him towels and soft toys to grip — something newborn macaques instinctively do for security. Seven months later, Punch is spending less time with the toy and slowly beginning to integrate with the troop. #Japan #IchikawaCityZoo #JapaneseMacaque #AnimalRescue #Wildlife #Heartwarming
