No word yet on who will play the male lead, Augustus (Gus) Everett. The rom-com centers on January Andrews, a successful romance novelist, who is plagued with writers block and moves to a small town after her father passes away. Much to her displeasure, she soon finds her rival (who doesn't really know he's her rival), Augustus Everett, lives nextdoor and is also suffering from writers block. Together they decide to help each other out of their funks and get into various small town rom-com shenanigans. 🏖️ The film will be written and directed by Yulin Kuang who also co-wrote the adaptation of Emily Henry's 'People We Meet on Vacation' which came out in January this year and starred Emily Bader and Tom Blyth.
