Yesterday, our academy players had the opportunity to learn from Barry Smith, whose coaching career includes seven Stanley Cup Championships with Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Chicago.
With decades spent behind NHL benches and in international hockey, Barry has been part of championship teams and elite player development at the highest levels of the game. He shared perspectives on what translates at the highest levels, what separates good from great, the habits that last, and the standards required to win. Those messages were then reinforced on the ice.
This is what development looks like: learning from experience, then applying it immediately. Thank you for spending the day with us, Barry!
