Last month, the third graders at Saddleback Elementary visited CasaGrandeNPS in Arizona! 🌵 Students learned all about the resilience of the Ancestral Sonoran Desert people as rangers introduced them to native desert plants and explained how each was used in daily life. They even got to try harvesting saguaro cactus fruit by using traditional long sticks on a model cactus. Then, students toured the Casa Grande ruins and imagined how the great house was once used. They finished the day by visiting the museum to see all the artifacts uncovered by archeologists at the site. 🏜️ #Education #OutdoorEducation #FieldTrip #BuddyBisonSchoolProgram #CasaGrandeRuins #DesertLife
