From scrubs to sash. 🩺👑
Campbell University junior Leah Culbreth ’27, a proud Dunn native and nursing major, will compete for Miss North Carolina this June.
Inspired by her grandmother’s cancer journey and called to become a pediatric oncology nurse, Leah is living out her purpose every day inside Campbell Nursing. From hands-on clinicals and skills labs to required volunteer service and Special Olympics physicals, she’s growing not just in knowledge — but in compassion, leadership, and confidence.
Her platform, “Going Gold for Childhood Cancer,” reflects the heart behind her calling: seeing children as people first, not patients, and advocating for families walking through the unimaginable.
🗣️ “At Campbell, you’re not just another student — you’re known.”
With small class sizes, strong NCLEX preparation, and professors who truly invest in their students, Leah says Campbell Nursing is preparing her to be both a competent and compassionate nurse.
